Deposit Refund
Direct TV/AT&T cancelled my service due to no sight of service and that was April 18, 2020 Saturday. And I was communicating with a local Manager called Tavis and stated there's another way to get service from AT&T without satellite dish. And I called too so that I can get a refund of $99.00. The agent I spoke too stated it will be credited into my account 7 days so April 28 was the 7th day from April 21. They are very good at ripping off money specially deposits, so where's my refund. I know it's not me whose asking for this. You better give us a good service whether it's a continued service or a cancelled service. Ripping money from people will have your company a bad karma!

We apologize for the miscommunication, @Alona27 .
Getting your refund quickly is important to you, so it's important to us. Please note that your refund will be mailed to you on a prepaid MasterCard. These cards can take up to 14 business days to reach you. We ask for your ongoing patience during this time.
If you have any further questions please dial 800-288-2020, thank you.

@Lah40Lah
If a "security deposit" that would be AT&T, not DirecTV. But if it is a Fee based on Credit (some refer to as a deposit) for DirecTV, then you can try www.directv.com/paymentdispute for the double payment.

Contact DirecTV as previously mentioned. This is a public forum so we have no access to your account or any possible refund.
As a note, returning equipment has nothing to do with a refund (unless you had paid a non-return fee and and then sent back the boxes before it was too late for the charges to be reversed). Also, returning equipment doesn't close the account itself, you have to call to do that (mentioning as some people in the last couple years made that error).
This thread should not have been reopened as was CLOSED two years ago because discussion ended in 2020. If you need further guidance, please start a fresh thread instead of posting to one that old.
