Can't Access DirecTV Account

Is anyone else having problems accessing their DirecTV account?  I can NOT access my account to pay my bill.  Every link leads me back to the AT&T website where there is NO WAY TO ACCESS MY DirecTV ACCOUNT.  Extremely aggravating.

Clear cache/cookies of your browser. Account management has been moved to the AT&T website, which is why you are redirected from the legacy DirecTV website. The legacy website is now only for any streaming your account has available.

I did a search before I posted.  I cleared everything in my browser to no avail.  As for the AT&T website, I don't have a problem getting directed there.  What I do have a problem with is my DirecTV information isn't in there...anywhere.  I cannot access my account anywhere to pay my bill.

If there is no link to your DirecTV billing in the AT&T account management, then call DirecTV to discuss the bill (or pay via the voice system). They are still working on the migration from the legacy website to AT&T's, so some hiccups along the way and not all features fully available yet. Updates I expect are slow going right now because of their workforce under all the restrictions and limitations from Covid.

We can help you get back into your account, @imnraged. Thanks for going into more detail on your problem.

If you can sign into your account, but don’t see a big box saying “My DirecTV” on your account homepage, there are two likely culprits. Either you are signed into the wrong account, or your account is still serviced on DirecTV.com.

The last time you paid your bill, did you use ATT.com or DirecTV.com? Some DirecTV customers have not yet been migrated to ATT.com, and certain functions will still be handled on DirecTV’s website.

Let us know how it goes, @imnraged, we’re here to help.

OMG, it's so nice to know that I am not the only person caught in the never ending loop that is AT@T. I am to the point of hating them. I did find out that they are in the process of dumping directv and offering at&t tv. They have also gotten out of the landline business and DSL. People who have the service now are grandfathered in. but no more of these services.

I have had an awful time with viewing my Directv account ever since they were bought out by ATT. It is a major pain in the (Edited per community guidelines). I have tried changing my password and I just always end up with my ATT account. I hate it. Can't wait till ATT sells Directv. Hopefully the new tv company will actually care about it's customers.

This has happened to me also.  The site says it can't find my account at all.  I've talked in both online chat and on the phone but no fix.  I have a ticket submitted and I still can't log in.  To make it worse, I can't log into apps with Directv as my provider because my account suddenly can't be found.

I have spent ~6hr  hrs on hold and another several hours with agents, who constantly pass me to another department.  The last time, I was given to a supervisor who stayed on the line with me to ensure the right folks at "Legacy Accounts" picked up, but they passed me to yet another group, and that line hung up on me while on hold.  Apparently I am on some "Legacy Plan" which cannot be transferred.  I asked to have them convert my account so it can be added to myATT account, but I never find someone who can make it happen.  I have been a DirecTV customer continuously since ~1999 -- I have "Tivo for life" which may be the (Edited per community guidelines) issue.  Its unclear to me what that gets me anymore, they charge for the DVR and they charge for "whole house DVR".

Hi @Diseypatriot! We're here to help!

At this time the possibility to move the DIRECTV accounts into the AT&T system is no longer available.

Have you tried linking your online accounts instead?
If you have access to your DIRECTV online account through the
AT&T website you can link your DIRECTV and AT&T online accounts. Follow this link for more information: Link AT&T accounts

Let us know if you need further assistance.

@disneypatriot

DVR, TiVO, and Whole Home DVR are different services.

DVR is being able to record to begin with.

Whole Home DVR allows you to watch what is on one HDDVR on all your other HDDVR, HD non-DVR, and Clients. Required by the Genie as it is DirecTV's Advanced Whole Home HDDVR. If you don't have a Genie, then it is an optional service.

TiVO however is specific to TiVO DVRs, such as the last one DirecTV tried (THR22) years ago. It has been required by TiVO on top of regular DVR service. I assume this is one of the reasons DirecTV stopped with TiVO branded DVRs, in addition to they don't work well with On Demand and are not compatible with Whole Home DVR.

I started with TIVO, TIVO for life.  AT&T switched to a different brand of DVR, I currently have line items on my bill for:

1. XTRA

2. HBO Max

3. Movies Extra Pack

4. Regional Sports Fee  $9.99

5. Watch DirecTV on multiple TVS $7.00

6. Advanced Receiver Service HD  $10.00

7. Protection Plan

8. Advanced Receiver Service - DVR Lifetime  0.00

9. WHole-Home DVR Service  $3.00

10.  Mobile DVR Service  0.00

DirecTV does NOT show up on MyATT.  If I try to log into DirecTV, it sends me to MyATT.  The only way I can get into DirecTV is to go to DirecTV, but instead of directly logging in, change my password (which changes the MyATT PW) and I am in for the one session only.  I have to change my PW if I want in again.

AND in ANY CASE, I cannot access HBOMax, because to activate on a device you have to log into MyATT, which is NOT linked to DirecTV.

SO @Juniper, YES I have TIVO-for-life (now converted to "DVR Lifetime")  I presume these do not exist in the current charges catalog, which is why I am a "Legacy" customer and why they can't link me to MyATT.

@ATTHelp  -- When I said "Move" earlier, I meant "Link" as you used it.  I have attempted the link process, and at least 4 agents have attempted it, but because of the "Legacy Plan" issues, nobody has had any success.  So, I am unable to log into my DirecTV from either site, I cannot routinely view my account or change my payment method, AND I am unable to access HBOMax in ANY WAY from ANY device (other than a couple dozen shows i can get from "Search"ing on the set top box -- there is no HBO Max App.)
