Billed for MLB — request cancel

I have been with Directv for 20+ years and I am losing my patience.
Via texting on 3/21/23, I requested the MLB that I didn’t want to be canceled.
The rep canceled it and said I would see the credit.  I logged into my account but it wasn’t there.  There wasn’t any activity showing on my account.  She then said it could take two billing cycles for the credit.  I have always received credits and additions the same day.  They gave me a $10 sorry credit. A supervisor called me and said they requested this to be expedited but could take 2 billing cycles.
I checked my account today 4/19/23 and still no credit.  I canceled my auto pay as I am not convinced the MLB is even canceled.

Has anyone had this problem?  Suggestions on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

AFAIK you have to call to cancel anything relating to DTV sat service.

There is the problem. To cancel optional services you call DirecTV. They do not do customer service by text. Either you texted a scam artist, some random number you found, or a 3rd party/tech's personal phone which does nothing to your account.

Make sure you call DirecTV's customer support number, the one they have used for over the 20+ years you've had the service. Do NOT text. It is also suggested to avoid the online chat option as they have limited options, and too often recently have provided bad info.

I will call them again. I don’t think it was a scam the text that I got from the Directv website I have used it before.  I also got the $10 credit the rep said in the text.  When the supervisor called me my caller ID said Directv.

My question still is does it take 1-2 billing cycles to get a credit.  Shouldn’t it be instant or the next day?

Thanks

Caller Id is easily spoofed to show any number the scammer wants.

A text from the DirecTV website?

Hold on, were you communicating by text message (i.e. on a cell phone) or were you using the DirecTV's website CHAT option? If chat, then it is official support but with limitations and lack of reliability. But if you sent a phone text message, that is a scam as DirecTV doesn't text.

Unfortunately Caller ID can be spoofed. It is a huge problem, especially as a lot of the abusers are out of country so cannot be held accountable.

Any legitimate credits can take 1-2 bills. This is because you are only sent one bill a month. If the credit has to process, by the time it does your bill cycle could have started over so instead of getting it on the immediate next bill it might be the one after that.
