Being charged for NFL Sunday ticket even though no longer have service
We were deceived into a 2 year contract with directv including free nfl package from att representative at Costco. We were told no contract but it came with a contract. Then now we are dealing with being billed the nfl ticket even though we noticed directv we don’t want to nfl service. We have had to call several times and it has not been resolved and we keep getting billed for the service. It’s so frustrating! We just want our money back and to get rid of our current bill that supposedly is charging us for remainder of nfl when we already paid early termination fee and no longer have the directv service or att internet. Who do we need to contact to resolve this issue?

First, try calling DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and saying ‘cancel’ to the robot to be sent to the loyalty/retention department where an educated agent can assist you. If they are hesitant on something or deny a somriob to the issue, there isn’t much you can do with the DIRECTV representatives. You’ll need to file a BBB complaint. Be prepared to wait a few months for a refund as DTV is usually slow with such refunds.
As a rule of the thumb, never trust salesmen at Costco. They often leave out important info and mislead customers. Rather, you would sign up for service through a trusted third-party dealer like Solid Signal or the main source, DIRECTV.

DTV doesn't have salespersons in retail stores like Costco, they work for a third party company. Once the season starts you can't cancel NFL Sunday Ticket but since the first year is free how can you be billed for it?

If you're being billed for NFL Sunday ticket in the second year then canceling service doesn't void that sports subscriptions are non refundable

DirecTV (or even AT&T) does not have their own reps in Costco. That would be a 3rd party retailer (usually Smart Circle) that sells services for other companies.
Intro offers always come with a 24 month service agreement. It is in the fine print of the offers, the order confirmation sent to you after DirecTV receives the order, and should be in the handheld the tech has upon install. That way both you and DirecTV are protected in case an agent (direct or 3rd party) fails (on purpose or by honest mistake) to tell you about it.
Free NFL Sunday Ticket for the 1st season is normal for an intro offer. But it works on an auto renew for those football fans who watch it year after year. The renewal notice is in June with 1st of 6 installments in July. As you have until the season starts in September to opt out of the renewal, that is plenty of time to turn that off and get your money back on any installments that already went through. If you did not call them until after the season started (so effectively after 3 months of notice), it is on you on being too late to opt out.
Sounds like you cancled before the 6 months of installments had finished. There is no refund as it is not a monthly subscription. It is one cost for the season, just broken up over 6 months as most people don't want to pay it all at once. Canceling means any remaining installments are all on the final bill. This is completely separate from the Early Cancellation Fee (ECF) as that is just calculated based on how many months of your service agreement were left ($20 for each month remaining of the 24 months).
Doesn't matter if you no longer have AT&T internet. That has absolutely nothing to do with your TV charges.
