remote doesn't control volume

Two identical TVs (LG).  One remote installed controls volume and one doesn't.  On a different TV (Samsung), installing the remote took me to a dialog to control volume, but I cannot figure out how to get into that dialog for the other LG TV or the fourth TV in the house (Sharp) that also doesn't work for volume control.

Hi @kenlosey thank you for reaching out.

You can set up your DIRECTV remote to control the volume by trying these easy steps:

1. Hit menu on remote.
2. Go to settings.
3. Go to remote control setup.
4. Go to pair/program remote.
5. Go to change audio device.
6. Enter your TV brand.
7. Enter your TV model or "I don't know my model" in case you don't know it.
8. Select "it worked"

Also, you can try resetting the receiver and remote control (on most DIRECTV receivers, there is a red button on the side of the receiver or inside the access card door). Press and hold the red button until the receiver restarts.

In case the previous steps do not work, please follow these steps to reprogram your remote control

Let us know how it goes.

My Direct TV remote volume control won't work with my Phillips TV. The model number isn't listed. 65PFL5504/F7. I tried all 56 numbers listed and none worked.
