New Customer: Resolution Question

I think my DirecTV Stream box is set for 1080p but it looks like we are getting 720.  We have the DirecTV Stream box attached to our Samsung  TV via the HDMI cable.  Our Internet connection is Xfinity 600Mbps download.

I'm just a new customer but it looks like the image on the screen is 720.  Shouldn't it be 1080?

Help me to understand.
