Hi, @aerkab. We apologize for not able to turn off your TV using the Gemini remote. Please follow these steps for unpairing and pairing the remote.
To unpair remote
- Press and hold Dash (-) and Apps or Diamondkeys simultaneously. - The LEDs blink blue on both sides of the remote once, continue to hold the buttons for approximately 3 seconds, until the LEDs blinks blue 2 more times to complete unpairing.
To pair the remote back
- No action needed. The remote is attempting to automatically reconnect with the device. - Blue LEDs blink twice closest to the microphone, scan out, blink blue twice, scan in, blink blue twice.
- This pattern continues until the remote is reconnected.
Thanks for the update. There's no option to power off the devices. You can just toggle the power button for on and off. Please try to factory reset your remote by following these steps;
Press and hold the Home and Exit keys simultaneously, until the LEDs on both sides display red.
Press 981 on the remote control.
The LEDs will turn Off and then blink blue 3 times on both sides.
Once done, the TV screen will ask you to pair back the remote and just follow the on-screen instruction. Let me know if that'll fix the issue.
@DIRECTVhelp Yes there is an option in settings to toggle on "power off devices" It's under. settings....system..remotes/devices .. program your remote

Do you have "power off devices" turned on under the remote settings?

Thank you for your responses. I have not found the option to “power off devises” in the remote settings. Where do I find that option.
I unpaired and paired the remote twice and that did not fix the problem.
I appreciate any further ideas you have.
