Connect Directv streaming box to an AV receiver?

Thanks. Just what I needed

Regarding this, what audio formats does the DirecTV Stream box transmit to the a/v receiver.  Is it limited to DD 5.1? 

DirecTV Stream delivers whatever the station/network provides .... either DD 5.1 or PCM 2.0 stereo. 

We have a Nakamichi soundbar uses CEC with Tivo we never had to change the input we just hit the Tivo button and were on the Tivo even if he previously was on Roku input. Well our Nakamichi hasn't been working until this past week he got it going again but it wasn't working the volume on the remote. I changed a setting that said something about CEC worked but than it turned off the TV program setting and wasn't turning off our TV.

I called tech support he sent me some info in the email but it was stuff we had done unpaired rebooted box. I messed with settings again and it seems like it's now turning off the TV  but also the soundbar which should be in standby. So when we turn on the TV it says it's going to TV speakers and it's a screen that says no signal doesn't take us to the home screen like before.

At one point last night it went to the no signal screen and said connecting to external speakers than took me to the home screen and the remote worked for the volume but never did it again after turning off TV soundbar goes off too. My husband noticed hitting the home button was also turning on the TV to the home screen. We just want to turn on and off the TV and have the volume do our soundbar. We have the direct TV stream box. Maybe I missed a setting or it needs to be hooked up different.   Thanks!
