CAN LEGACY TVS BE USED WITH DIRECTTV STREAM?

I want to migrate from U-Verse to Direct TV Stream but need to know beforehand if I can connect my legacy tvs to Direct TV Stream?

Not familiar with that type of TV is it a smart TV if it is are you able to find the Directv Streaming app in the app store of it?  If not then you would need to use an external device such as Directv Streaming Box, Roku, or Firestick.

What do you mean by "legacy TV"? If your TVs have HDMI INPUTS, then you're good to go.

What I mean by legacy tvs are those tvs built over 20 years ago.  I do not believe these tvs have HDMI INPUTS.

If the TV has no HDMI input then you will need and HDMI adapter.

I went through this with my mother's older TVs.  I bought adapters so that she could stream Directv Stream through a Roku and Directv Stream box for TVs that were built before HDMI was ever thought of.  But the downside to that is that you lose picture quality on the older TVs because it is going from the device through another device then to the tv instead of being plugged directly into the tv.  I wanted to replace her TVs but she would not have that as there was nothing wrong with the TVs she had.  Listen to me on this by the time I was done buying devices and adapters it would have cost me just a little bit more to buy her new TVs. Buy yourself a new TV if you want to stream.
