Random sound issues

How do I correct Direct TV sound issues?   The sound on Direct TV tends to either a) suddenly become incredibly loud, or b) change volume randomly, or c) shut itself off entirely.  This happens on all of my Roku devices after about an hour or so.  The "fix" to the problem is to switch channels for a minute or two, then switch back to the channel we were previously watching.  We watch several other streaming services, none of which have ever had this issue.

Any suggestions?

You may want to delete and reinstall the DIRECTV STREAM app off your device.

 

Check audio settings on your device using your remote: Press the Home button, then Settings > System > Remote & Devices > Program Your Remote > Advanced Remote Program > Switch Volume Control.

we have these exact issues with directTVstream using roku.

Not everyone is having issues. Most reports have been around the Ultra model. I have several 4K sticks and have not experienced any audio issues. What model do you have? What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

we have the roku streaming stick+ 

all firmware is up to date, all tvs are different makes. our internet is fed via fiber with 1gb service. if we are watching the same channel in different rooms on different tvs, it doesn't go out on both simultaneously. we've tried rebooting, and done whatever DTVS has instructed us to do. this happens every day throughout the day
