Inside the access card door and/or on the back of the receiver.

RID = Receiver Identification

It's on a label near the access card, or rear/bottom panel.

AT&T's new RC1 account system will no longer activate deactivated receivers.

i just got anew receiver to replace one  that  wasn't working right.   it took a little while for my channels to come back. but I cannot record. it said it wasn't activated. I would have thought it would have been activated with the rest of the new device. do I need to wait to see if it activates ( like my channels)

The instructions are sooooo unclear.

You say the RID numbers are INSIDE the lid. WHERE?  Where the batteries are kept? You say they are at the bottom of the remote, but what do you mean by THE ACCESS CARD? Inside the lid where the batteries are kept to rum the remote, I have found FCCID numbers; US 2113 13CB numbers; and 2 more sets of numbers starting with R35********** and L230701 Which one is the RID number we are supposed to key in to pair the remote to the TV?

@JonathanBrennan

The Receiver ID is located on the receiver at the bottom of it. Flip the receiver over and you will see a Receiver ID and Serial Number. If you need the access card number, this is either located on the receiver behind the door that says “PUSH” or the card may be on the right side of the receiver if you have an HR54.

As this is an old thread, I will be closing it. If you have further questions, make a new post and be sure to include the receiver model of your receiver so that we can provide me precise info on finding the access card number.
