We got the new Genie and recording series and searching for shows is a INFURIATING as can be

We got a Genie recently a few months back, we are having two issues that have really made us mad. 

When we want to record a series, a double click on the show, will record that show but not the show the next day or the next week.  If we go into the advanced settings, the same thing happens, to record the series we are needing to go in and manually click the next show.  Then sometimes the entire series will be set to record and other times not.  What is going on?

Then when we search for a show, if it is on TV and you want to see say the beginning and find out when it is on again, no problem.  But if it is a series for example Season 2 Episode 1, and you want to find Episode 2 the search will only search for Season 2 Episode 1, not the series itself.   

If you search for an actor in a movie that has aired already, with the old DVR we could see "no upcoming" next to the movie name.  Now with the Genie nothing will come up in the search other than that actors up coming shows in the next two weeks.  The old search from the old DVR was much better.
