Volume from DirecTv to receiver is lower than Smart TV
I have a DirecTv cable box model HR44-500 that I think has an issue. I connect it to my Yamaha RX-V6A receiver with an HDMI cable along with 2 RCA cables (left/right) and the volume is very low on the speakers. If I set it to 50 on the Yamaha receiver, the volume is right to listen to. But if I switch to the TCL (Model 55S455) and listen to something on there at the same volume, its VERY much louder that the DirecTv sound. Not sure if the issue is the DirecTv box, but I am starting to assume so. Any thoughts?

Many A/V Receivers have a feature to adjust the initial volume level between each input source. Does yours have that?

Honestly I am uncertain. I will get into the options and look. Thanks for the tip.

HDMI has audio built in so why are you using the RCA cables?
The old receiver (Onkyo) had it hooked up that way and it was the only way that I could get audio out. To test a theory I left the HDMI cable attached and removed the RCA cables and the audio still worked, so I am good to go there. Thanks all for the help.
