User ID & Password for Home Adapter DCAU1R0-01
My Home Adapter DCAU1R0-01 gets a DHCP address from my router and when I go to that address, I get a web page that asks for a User ID & Password. I am very curious as to what this web page is for? I have tried 'admin' + 'admin', no luck. Does anyone know what the current User ID & Password for this device might be?
Thanks, Kym.

After searching for about 10 minutes, I found the password for my DCAU1R0-01 (manufactured APR2018).

All a Connected Home Adapter does is remove the Ethernet from the coax to feed a DTV receiver and doesn't need a username and password, don't know why you get a web page asking for it unless it is trying to log into your router. There is also a DECA BB used to put the Ethernet on the coax but it also doesn't have a username or password.

Thanks for the feedback.
Maybe to be more clear - the device works just fine, as advertised. What I am curious about is the DHCP address given to the device, it pops up a web page when I surf to it and it is the web page that is asking for the User ID & Password, not the functionality of the device. I am really curious as to what the web page could be for (device settings?) and why it is protected?

There is no username or password needed to use it so there is none.

Understood and agreed. However, I still would like to know what that web page is about and why it is there. Hence, the desire/need to have a correct User ID & Password.

Don't know why it is even asking for one. AFAIK it is the router asking for it to log into it.

@Kym
Can you attach a picture of this authentication site? I believe I understand what you are referring to but this would only be a thing if you were using the Connected Home Adapter to connect all your DIRECTV equipment to the Internet using an Ethernet connection from the Connected Home Adapter to your router.
Otherwise, a traditional connection to feed a DIRECTV receiver for the sake of Whole-Home DVR and interaction with other Receivers on the DIRECTV SWM Network as shannon02 states should not show the device on your router. If it does, I'd assume because your DIRECTV equipment is connected to the Internet and somehow the Connected Home Adapter ended up being listed along with your Receivers.
A picture of this authentication site would be helpful, though.

When a Connected Home Adapter is used to connect to the internet it is called a DECA BB because it needs a power source either a A/C power brick with an adapter or USB.

Thanks for all of the feedback and assistance thus far.
As per one of the suggestions, see below for a shot of the web page that the device is using and a picture of the device details on my LAN (not much there really).
I also tried my router User ID & Password, no luck.
Any additional thoughts?
Thanks.

Everything is working just fine. I did call support, not much help, although they did try.
You could be right in that it could be part of the installers toolkit or certainly something for testing purposes.
My curiosity of what is going on has been trumped by a 'no need for me to know' situation. Oh well.....

All the tech does is connect it to the coax and the Ethernet cable and if needed the power source. There is nothing else to do, there is no setup requiring a username/password.

As Juniper suggested above, this could be a tool for the technician, should it be required, or it could be tool for the help desk to use, or it could be a remnant from the device build/testing process, or it could be so people like me ask lots of questions, but get no answers.

I've been trying to locate firmware images as I'm sure there's probably a more recent one, but directv may have those locked down and accessible just to technicians

DTV sends all software/firmware updates via the sats so you should already have the latest.
