Unauthorized Remote Recording onto our DirecTV DVR
For the past week there have been unauthorized external recordings of various programs made onto our DIRECTV DVR. We do not access DIRECTV via an app or any other means. We only watch DIRECTV on the TVs in our home. There are serial numbers listed on the recording and I have shared those with DIRECTV customer support. (Images attached below.) A security check seems to indicate that our account was not hacked and we have a four digit pin in our account that should prevent any unauthorized external access yet this continues. What is causing this and what is the resolution? We have been DirecTV customers for well over a decade (in two different states) and we’ve never experienced this issue.

Someone setup a series manger for those shows, you need to delete them.

Nobody in our home set up these recordings. We never watch these programs and we don’t use the app or access our recordings remotely. We record shows routinely and we know how to manage them. These recordings were set up remotely by someone else.

Could you disconnect the DTV receiver from the internet for awhile after deleting the series to see if they return?
