Unable to sync Samsung QN65Q7DRAFXZA TV with DirecTV remote

I just bought a Samsung QN65Q7DRAFXZA tv and can't get the DirectTV remote to recognize it. I go into the menu, pair remote and only have option to Pair Remote, it then says "Adding Samsung TV, attempting code 1 of 1" after a few seconds it goes back to the Pair Remote screen. I don't have the option of selecting a TV brand or typing it in. Only 2 options are Pair Remote and Done. I have tried multiple times, with no luck. I have tried holding down mute + select and then trying to pair the remote, didn't do anything. Called DirectTV support and they weren't able to help me, just said that the tv isn't compatible.
