Tv sizing

I had an update come up for direct tv. When it was complete it resized my screen. When it did so, it made it to where I was unable to read the left side of the screen on the guide, menu, parts of the shows and a lot of other stuff. I have attempted to fix it with all possible options in the menu to no avail. I’m not sure how to fix it

Hello Tfjames03. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. This option may be called "Picture Size," "Aspect Ratio," "Screen Fit," or something similar. To find this option, go to your TV's settings menu and look for the display or picture options. Once you've found the option, select it and choose the option that best fits your screen. DVR/Receiver model number?

Have you tried resetting it?

I have tried resetting it. It was an update that caused it to happen. And I have also tried to use the tv settings and it didn’t fix it.

Try unplugging the TV for a few minutes.

do you mean the TV app for the TV's "smart" functions?

It is a wireless genie mini box. And an update for the service popped up saying it was gonna update to make sure I had the best picture available or something along those lines. But it ended up messing up my picture. Now the left side of the screen is not visible. It’s like the update made the picture too big. I have a 32” tv
