Should I get a Deca for my Gemini unit?

I have recently installed a Gemini receiver as a replacement to a Genie in my basement.  I have been running this unit as wireless but the connection is iffy.  I have a Directv coax running to this location.  How do I go about getting a Directv Deca unit to see if this will solve my problem?  How much will I be charged for this unit?

Yes, you can connect DECA to your Gemini receiver. You can buy it at Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon. Please send us a PM/DM to one of our social media accounts to check options on how to order it through DIRECTV. Veilka, DIRECTV Community Specialist

You need a powered DECA BB, DTV may send you one or buy one online, there are 2 versions the first uses an A/C power brick or the other is USB powered.  You connect the coax to it then run the Ethernet cable to the Gemini then connect the power to it.  I haven't seen them sold at Walmart or Best Buy.

Hi @MrRon23, we appreciate your feedback. The DECA you found in Walmart should work. To know more, visit the link @goldw1800 has provided. Jessica, DIRECTV Community Specialist
