SEDGWICK
I filed a claim due to damages to my roof from Direct TV dish. I provided pictures and the invoice for the repairs. Sedgwick is telling me that this is insufficient evidience to support this claim. What more do they need from me? I have just cancelled my service and the dish has been removed by the roofer who fixed the damages. It isn't a fair practice at all and I am wondering why these companies install anything on the roof. NEVER AGAIN.

When installing a dish on a roof technicians are required to use what is referred to as 'bishop tape', a moisture seal for the mast/pole of the satellite dish.
If damage was caused to your roof, I would file a BBB complaint since DIRECTV support is not willing to help you out. Good luck.

Thanks Detuch-I have filed a complaint with the BBB. It is with Sedgwick to make it right, but we know that is probably not going to happen. I feel sorry for anyone that this happens to. Big corporations feet aren't held to the fire and this is why they get over on the working man! I can' imagine how many times this has happened to others as well.

I have heard a dozen other instances of this occurring, but BBB complaints usually end up being worthwhile.

It was up for 2 years. It has been moved to pole which is literally right next to where it was on the roof.

I had a tech come to my home when no one was home and install Direct TV to the outside of my home. I have a dish on my roof and holes in the side of my home. I noticed this on 10/22/23. Only time we were not home was on 10/18/23. I DO NOT have Direct TV we stream everything. I have had nothing but the run around with everyone at Direct TV customer care, Account Managers (Jason, Joy, ETC) then their supervisors (Daniel) (who Jason transferred me too) over 5 hrs in 4days on the phone while working Mon-Fri. No result in getting help in removing what I did not agree to or know about. I am filing a police report for vandalism and trespassing. Here is the photos for your viewing in why I am so UPSET!!!! Someone HELP ME OUT. I am in Wichita, KS. 316-648-3874

Very strange as DTV doesn't install anything if there is nobody over 18 at home to sign the work order especially if you didn't order DTV sat service as they don't get paid without one. You own the dish to remove, you can try filing a BBB complaint to fix the holes. Just noticed that they installed a 5LNB dish that is no longer used so no idea if it was a DTV contractor or what.

Agreed. I believe it was a contractor as well because regular DIRECTV technicians won't be installing the SL5 anymore for residential customers. The standard LNB for installations these days is the SL3.
