Try this --Use the remote -Menu -Search -(TYPE) CLEARMYBOX -Search -then Search all your receiver will reboot and that will clear the message (note) it will take 24 to 48 hours for the full Gudie and VOD to re-populate

Well, it cleared that annoying forward message that covered up the show info, so I'm happy.

sorry, should use the correct terminology....  have not gotten the various resets down...

I know there is a restart... happens if you unplug... lose guide data at least

is there any place the various restarts/resets are documented?

there must be a full reset that wipes out network settings, etc.

just would like to add to my "cheat sheet"

Only programs recorded from the sat channels can be FF.

From trying to read the question, it appears there is a message on the screen that he cannot get off the screen.

I think that is the question.

The only change I noticed is the DVR recorded listings where there is a box of each recording and a photo.  The boxes are now just showing the names of the recorded shows, but no photos anymore.

Does using “clearmybox” delete all of your scheduled recordings?

No, it dumps the guide data and other things.  Programs set to record will record, it will take a day or 2 to rebuild the guide.
