Realign satellite dish
Recently had my roof replaced. Contractors did a good job of replacing the dish in the original location but, sometimes even on a bright, clear sunny day some channels don't come in clearly, like the receiver is searching for enough signal. Its even worse if any adverse weather is in the area. Should I schedule a technician to realign the dish?

If you can safely reach the dish, it's not hard to do it yourself. Check out this video ....

Nobody can put the dish exactly back where it was so anytime it is moved it needs to be aligned, you are aiming at a school bus 23,000 miles away.

I suspect that those roofers even did a poor job installing that mast/pole because most of them don’t hit a stud. If you plan to reaim the dish, I suggest making sure that both monopoles are installed (if you don’t have a low profile mount) and that the pole itself isn’t going anywhere. A loose pole can cause many issues in the future.
IF the pole is loose, you would have to get a complete dish relocation and not just a simple dish alignment.

My roof was replaced recently, and local channels were okay but most higher channels lost the signal. I called DirecTV to set up a realignment. The guy comes out and says they don’t go on roofs anymore. I need to get a replacement dish no higher than one storey.

OSHA no longer allows anyone on a sloping roof without proper safety equipment so to comply DTV no longer allows their techs to leave the ladder. The tech should have installed a new dish that can be serviced. Call DTV for a dish relocate order.
