RC66RX "TV power on" compatibility issue with Philips model# 40PFL6533
Equipment: Philips Roku HD TV (model 40PFL6533); RC66RX DirecTV remote control; H24-700 DirecTV receiver.
Issue:
- If I ‘power off’ the TV with the DirecTV remote control, and I wait 12 minutes or more, then I cannot ‘power on’ the TV with the DirecTV remote control (verified 8 separate times with stopwatch). The only way I can ‘power on’ the TV is with the OEM remote control that came with the TV.
- If I ‘power off’ the TV with the DirecTV remote control, and I wait 11 minutes or less, then I can ‘power on’ the TV with the DirecTV remote control (verified 8 separate times with stopwatch).
Notes:
- All power savings and sleep mode settings for the DirecTV and for the Philips TV are 'off'.
- There are no issues between the RC66RX and the DirecTV receiver.
- Software updates for the TV were downloaded on May 11, 2024.
- This issue has existed since the TV was purchased in November 2023.
- The RC66RX controls the TV volume, mute, and TV power-off functions without concern.

Hello,
Thank you for the response. I have read the basic troubleshooting guidelines from DirecTV, but to no avail. I have been a user of DirecTV products for ~26yrs, so I am used to the products/processes. The RC66RX works great, until I use it to turn off the TV. If I wait 12minutes or more to attempt the turn the TV back on with the RC66RX then nothing happens (and I have to find the OEM remote control). If I wait 11minutes or less after powering-off the TV, then the RC66RX will successfully power-on the TV.
Do you have some more specific advice?

You can check the Private Message/Direct Message (PM/DM) icon (text/speech bubble) is located in the upper right between the notification icon (bell) and "directv.com". Armando, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Are you logged in? What if anything happens if you slide the switch to TV and press the power button?
