Programming RC73 to Handle TV
I successfully programmed my living room directv remote and everything works fine.
However, I programmed my other RC73 to power my Dynex TV.
I couldn't find the model number for the Dynex so I let Directv remote hunt for it.
The volume control works fine but the remote won't power the TV on or off.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Suggest you try this for the RC73
Dynex TV codes for DirecTV remotes
1249
To reset the rc73 to default if needed
To reset the RC73 remote:
-Press and hold mute and select until the light blinks.
-After releasing mute and select, type the numbers "9, 8, 1" in that order.
-You should see the light blink again on the remote after typing the above 3 numbers.
-Your remote should now be factory reset.
obtained from this link try reprograming the TV to the remote if that does work reset your RC73 to Default and start over.

Where and when do I put in the 4 digit code?
When I try to set this up I am only presented with Dynex model numbers.

On the RC7X remotes you press and hold the mute and enter buttons until the light flashes twice then enter the 1 then wait until the light flashes again then enter the last digits.

I think I got it.
I didn't see my Dynex model number the remote entered the first one. Since the volume worked I figured it worked until I tried powering off the tv.
Did it again and had it try twice to find the Dynex code and it worked!
One quick question.
Is it possible to program the remote to use my ROKU reciever?

DTV remotes are only made to control the TV on/off and volume and the DTV receiver/client nothing else.
