Program Directv remote for Bose Soundbar

I see the question asked but do not see any solution. 

What is the remote code # to program a Bose Soundbar and a Bose soundbar 300 or 500.  What is the solution??

Ok, I have a Bose Soundbar that I can not control using Directv remote rc73 or RC65RX. I have tried several codes but can not control the volume up or down.

Using Genie mini box.  

What code should work.

Genie rc73,  and Universal RC65RX,  been through the steps. Still no go.  Any other ideas?

I'm pretty sure that the DirecTV remotes don't control the Bose Soundbars.

I this has functioned property until something changed and I had to completely reprogram my remote after changing tv sets, the reset function cleared the program settings in the remote and after that was not able to reprogram to get Bose soundbar to work to adjust volume.

Same issue here.  My sound bar has worked for several years with my RC73 Remote. All of sudden yesterday it stopped.  I've tried every option twice to pair without success.  Called DIRECTV for support and got a young lady who was having a party and didn't know any more than I did.  Sad for the monthly fee they charge!

Yes, the solution was by using the New Gemini remote programming the Bose Soundbar 300 was listed.  Unfortunately the statements made by the Directv call center support people was not 100% correct.  The RC73 is no longer compatible as an RF remote after installing the co-located Gemini.  The new remote is Bluetooth.  I learned a lot yesterday installing the new Gemini, some problems that could have been avoided if they would have added a little more to the before you start.  

Getting back to the initial problem, no I was not able to resolve without equipment update.  My alexia will allow me to change volume and run routines to change channels through the Bose Soundbar.

I hope this helps anyone reading this post.

If there RC73 Remote no longer works why wouldn't the support rep offer to replace the remotes?   I used to think Directv had really good support, not so much any longer!

The remote will work.on Genie mini, but not with the new Gemini.   They do still have good support it takes time to resolve some problems.  The AWS charge that took place left them with delay in some issues coming to lite.  I am a user like you and feel the pain of dealing with helpdesk and Offshore Call Centers.  

If you have a question of getting a replacement,  ask.  If you have the Protection Plan Premier,  they will help.  If you have not updated to the Gemini,  that may be the path forward.

I had to go back and read... you never specified if you had a Genie Mini, or old Genie or Gemini.

You did specify the remote which does not work with the Gemini.

Only in your last post do you specify you changed to a Gemini (which does not come with an RC73)

I think if you had started "I have a new Gemini and want to control it with an RC73", you would have gotten an instant answer here.

Perhaps you confused the support people also?

(I get what you want to do, but you now know it does not work)
