pink screen/no audio
this happened in Feb'24 and now again for the past many weeks - the screen goes pink and there is no audio. Only way to solve it seems to be to power cycle the mini genie. I also changed the HDMI cable from the mini genie to the TV with a more expensive one. I just called DirecTV and they say that this is due to an "outage" !!?? but have no info on when it will get resolved. Is this legit or do I have a bad mini genie? The power button on the mini genie doesn't do the job. I have to physically yank the power cord out. I also swapped HDMI ports on the TV. No bueno.

It is the Genie that supplies the picture/audio to the mini so if there is something wrong it is not sending it right..

Have you done a red button reset on the Genie?

I used to do that in the beginning, but it takes a long time to reset, while the mini genie only takes a minute. So now I only power cycle the mini genie.

Mini clients are only remote controls for the Genie.

I understand. I'm just describing to you that power cycling the mini genie fixes the problem temporarily and is much quicker. And the HDMI signal is mini genie to TV, not genie to TV.

So I reset the Genie and haven't had the problem for many days. Think you were right. Thanks !
