Paramount+ CC

This is what the Paramount Plus site instructs to do for Android TV (firmware that the Gemini runs):

While a show is streaming, use the middle round button on the Android TV controller to bring up the video control, then select the Settings icon in the upper right corner. You'll now have access to closed caption and audio options. 

If you'd like to format closed captions, go to your TV’s home screen, then: 

1. Select Settings > System or Device Preferences > Accessibility > Captions.
2. Select Display to view how the captions will look, then choose your options like font style and size.

I tried that..didn't work!

Unfortunately that would be an issue with Paramount Plus then. Contact them and tell them CC isn’t working for you on the directv Gemini box. Otherwise, try reinstalling or updating the Paramount Plus app. 

@john21mart, we want you to enjoy this amazing feature. Please follow the next steps to activate/deactivate Close Caption: 
-Using the remote control, press OK, to display the video overlay.
-Press the down arrow.
-If needed, scroll left to move the blue line under CC/Audio, then press OK.
They are redirected to the Closed Caption Setting.
-Press the right arrow to move the blue line under English, then press OK. 
-To deactivate, select Off and press OK.
-Closed Caption Setting may be changed if needed.
-Pressing the down arrow to move to CC Settings.
-Press OK.
-Redirected to Setting screen to make the desired changes.
Refer to Closed Caption Settings [link to] for the options available.
-Once they have turned on CC, press Exit to return to the programming.

This does not work with the Genie with Paramount +

@john21mart, please be sure to use the previous steps within the Paramount app. You could pause the program you’re watching and hit one of the directional arrows, so you can see the pause menu.
