Hi @directin. Yes, it is possible. The Gemini device can have multiple remote controls, but only one remote can be paired to a TV at a time. John, DIRECTV Community Team
Thanks for the information. Currently I have one set-top box controlled by an IR remote. The signal from this one set-top box is sent to 5 different TV's by using an HDMI splitter. Each TV is in a different room. There is an IR remote at each TV. At each TV There is an IR receiver that transmits the remote control signal back to the set- top box over coax and an IR emitter is attached to the eye on the set-top box. Everything works great.
Next week my TV provider is changing to Direct TV and I need to switch to the C71KW-400 box which uses a blue tooth remote. I would like to continue having a different remote control at each TV--but now each remote will be a bluetooth remote. Hopefully each TV will be within the range of the bluetooth signal.
It sounds like I need to pair each bluetooth remote at the TV where it will be used.

Is my understanding correct?

Sounds like an MDU setup so DTV has nothing to do with it, yes each remote has to be programed to each TV.

After receiving the equipment I was able to pair 4 remote controls(RC82V) with one C71KW-400 box. So everything works as I hoped it would.
