Can i reactivate our old D11 receiver to use with old satellite??? We just recently changed out to Genie and new satellite but would like to use this old equipment in our garage if possible. Dont matter about HD.

No, you can no longer activate SD equipment, as it is currently being swapped out for HD equipment as we speak. DIRECTV is actively removing all SD local channels and therefore your SD equipment is becoming obsolete for this purpose.

And, beside, the D11 is not supported by a SWM system, which is required by a Genie system. I recommend you get a Genie Mini receiver for your garage to use, or you may choose to use a standalone HD receiver such as the H24 or H25.

AFAIK the 101 sat will continue to broadcast the nationwide channels in MPEG4 with no local channels, so you will need an MPEG4 HD receiver to use the old round dish.
