If the TV displays just "No Signal", then it's like set to the wrong video input for your DirecTV box.
What's the exact on-screen message?
What DVR/Receiver model number?
How is the DVR/Receiver connected to your TV?

Since "No Signal" is a message from the TV, there are a few things to check.
Is the TV on the correct input the HDMI is plugged into?
Is the HDMI secure on both ends and free of debris?
DirecTV box powering on in the first place?
Try another HDMI port on the TV, as well as another HDMI cord.
Don't use a 'smart' power strip, or HDMI-CEC on the TV (if it has it).
Try another DirecTV box at that TV and/or move the problem one to another TV.
Red button reset the DirecTV box?
Unplug power from TV for a couple minutes (as not aware one that has reset button).
Also check for any software/firmware updates on the TV.
You can unplug power from the DirecTV box for a couple minutes, but I would only do that as a last resort. This is because receiver/DVRs will have to redownload the guide data which takes some time. (if you have a Genie setup, reset/power cycle is done on the main Genie first before any Clients as it gives them the info).
