No On Demand content

Here's the equipment we have:  Three HR24-500 receivers and a Genie HR44 with two C51 minis.

First, please grant me some grace if I'm using the wrong lingo in this post.

We have no on demand content on the HR24s - the Genie is okay. I believe it all started about a month ago when they installed a new dish due to some distortion in the picture. When they did that installation, they removed the Cinema Connection Kit. Do you think this is the cause of there being no on demand content now?  It seems anything having to do with downloads is affected.

I've spoken to support on four different occasions and had a technician here today, all with no resolution.  I just really don't know what to do at this point.  Any suggestions?

The cinema connection kit is what was supply the internet to all the receivers, You say that the Genie is working so how is it connected to the internet?

Connecting the main HR44 receiver to the Internet thereafter bridges the HR44’s connection over the SWM coaxial cable, splitters, and SWM multi switch (whatever applicable) to the remaining HR24s. Therefore, as long as your HR44 is connected to the Internet, the three HR24s should be connected to the Internet as well. This can be verified by pressing the (-) DASH button on each of the HR24’s RC6x remote.

If Internet shows as NOT CONNECTED on ALL three HR24s, reset the HR44 with the red reset button (behind the door that says “PUSH”). Moreover, perform a red reset button on the three HR24s.

I have two questions for you:

1. Are the HR44’s recordings visible on the three HR24 receivers?

2. Do the three HR24 receivers show up on the HR44 under
Menu, Settings, Whole-Home, Summary?

shannon02:  Based on your comment, I think I am using the wrong term for what was removed.  When the new dish was installed, the technician removed a small box-like thing that had cables going into it and replaced it with a different box-like thing.

Detuch254:

  1. No, the HR44’s recordings are not visible on the HR24, but that’s because I have set the “Share Playlist” to “No” on the HR44.
  2. Yes, all three HR24 receivers show up on the HR44 under Menu, Settings, Whole-Home, Summary.
