Neither of my Directv Remote Control(s) works on Bedroom Receiver

Most likely it is a mini client, what are the model numbers?

Since all DTV remotes are programed to work on all DTV receivers in IR it seems that the C41 IR sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.  DTV will replace the C41 for $20 shipping or free if you have the protection plan.

One more point

For years I've been using Harmony remotes, and they have no issues.

Logitech isn't making remotes anymore.

I'm no trying to get used to using the Directv remotes.

I'm still using my Harmony One and I have a backup. 

I have 2 650s and 1 665.

But, the the 650 I use in the bedroom seems to be getting quirky. I need, sometimes to press a button a couple time for the backligh to come and work.
