My new Gemini box keeps losing the ability to run apps

When I try to launch Prime, Netflix or YouTube I get error messages saying I may not be connected to the internet. Yet when I run an internet speed test it says my speed is the top of the range (4K speed.) I have called DIRECTV tech support at least 4 times in the month since I installed m Gemini, and I spend at least 30 minutes troubleshooting with them, having the Genie software reinstalled (I have the older Genie) and resetting things, and eventually we get it to work. But then I turn on the TV a few days later and none of the apps will run (as before.) My Genie has a wired ethernet connection, although I get the same problem when I switch to my high speed wireless connection.  I seem to remember when I was setting up my Gemini it asked for a network connection and I used my wireless network because I didn't have another ethernet cable.  I'm wondering if that is conflicting with my Genie's wired connection, but I can't seem to find where to change the Gemini's network settings. Does the Gemini really need its own internet connection since it is directly connected to the Genie via HDMI? What do you recommend?

The Gemini is not connected to the Genie with HDMI it is coax or WiFi using a separate network setup between the WVB and the Gemini. Yes there can be a conflict as the Gemini gets the internet through the Genie not your home network.

Okay I misspoke, my Gemini is connected to the Genie with an ethernet cable, as per step 2 of the "Gemini Co-locate Setup Guide" that came with the unit and that I have right here in my hands. Also in this guide under step 7, after all connections have been made, is "Connecting to your home internet network." My Genie has its own existing connection to the internet, so what internet connection was being made during the setup of the Gemini? And how do I get to that setting?  Is there a way to do a return to factory settings on the Gemini?
