Not really. Unless you are looking for a TV to try the few 4K channels, the HR44 is practically the top.
However for more tailored info, why are you looking to replace your HR44? Something wrong, looking for a specific feature, or desperate to keep up with latest and "greatest"? Models of other boxes? Are you adding any TVs?
If DirecTV still offered them themselves, or the new owner (as AT&T sold of their remaining shares) returns to dedicated boxes, I would suggest to replace the Mini Genie with an HDDVR. That way you get dedicated tuners and recording space to work within your Genie instead of the all-in-one setup that AT&T pushed them into with the Genie-2 (HS17) that only allows Clients.
Otherwise if tuners and recording space between the two TVs is fine, and you're not looking into 4K, I would keep your setup as it is for now.

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to know if there was a better one since I’ve had this for many years.

Unless you are wanting 4K, stick with the HR44. If you have any trouble, it is still covered by the lease warranty.
Is that your only box?
