Last Chance
Please provide an explanation for the "Last Chance" algorithm, as we have no PPV recordings, and 30% free space, yet shows that we DO NOT want deleted are ending up in the so-called "Last Chance" folder.
What is the basis for this algorithm so that we may figure out how to prevent unwanted deletions in the future?
Thank you,
John

Hello @Dak99gT,
We're happy to shed some light on this for you.
The Last Chance feature was implemented to make sure you have enough hard drive space and that you don't lose recordings you never got to view.
To avoid losing recordings you wanted to keep, there is a "Keep Until I Delete" and "Keep Until Disk Is Full" option.
If you need help with anything else, let us know.

I swear virtually all online community forums for technical issues are useless. Once again, the company doesn't actually answer the question. The guy just said he still had 30% disk space left, and DirecTV simply responds that the Last Chance feature was implemented to make sure people have enough hard drive space. Why would DirecTV start to delete recordings if you still have 30% disk space left? And what favors are you doing for the customer by selecting programs for deletion rather than leaving that up to the choice of the customer? And no... selecting "keep until disk is full" or "keep until I delete" does not take the program out of the "Last Chance" que. I wonder do these specialists actually try their own proposed solutions?
