Large House and 2 Dish 2 wireless bridge setup
I am going to be moving into a pretty large house where my parents will also be living. My goal is to set up 2 dishes and 2 wireless bridges so I can keep all of their recorded shows separate from mine. I doubt I can get the single wifi bridge to work in the whole house and I probably can't get the signal from the dish in one corner to the opposite side of the house. But I'm hoping to do this all on one account. Has anybody done anything like this and do you know if it's possible? Is this something the installer can do if I pay for equipment or do I have to rearrange after they leave? Just trying to plan ahead and see if it's possible. I'm tired of all of my recorded shows being recorded. lol

DTV will only install 1 dish, DTV recommends only 150' runs of RG6 solid copper core coax, RG11 coax can extend that but it would be self install.

DTV is only installing the HS17 Genie2 that is a client only system so you can't have 2 playlists and DTV only allows 1 Genie on the account.

Right. You could theoretically do the installation yourself through Solid Signal, which can set up an account for you as a DIY'er, and you can use HR24s and an HR54 with clients. This equipment must be purchased upfront through Solid Signal, through.
Perhaps, if you order DIRECTV and call over the phone, a DIRECTV CSR may be able to put a note on the work order that you request an HR54 as opposed to the HS17, but there are clearly no guarantees.
Most DIY'ers need to do their own installation and purchase equipment upfront these days.

The OP should do everything through Solid Signal, as Solid Signal can create an account for the OP without any technician coming to install. This is great for DIY’ers. The only drawback is that the OP needs to purchase all equipment upfront (including the dish, receivers, etc) on solidsignal.com

Great idea @Juniper ! I will be moving all of my equipment to the new house which includes HR44-500, WVB BRO-25 and 3 wireless Genie Mini's C41W. I can pull off my existing dish and take it with me as well. I'm hoping to set up all of this equipment plus add a new dish, new DVR receiver and another wireless bridge with one wireless genie for the new system. It's basically like 2 full systems under 1 roof.

There is no need to take the Satellite with you. We can proceed with a moving order. Let's check your options via PM. Haendel, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Just heard back from Solid Signal rep that Directv doesn't allow 2 wireless bridges or 2 Genie Towers on the same account. So even if I ordered the equipment, Directv will probably not allow it. That pretty much kills my idea.

As it is an owned accessory I would think you could have as many WVB as you need.
