Jump back button has been reprogrammed and broken

Ok
Since the latest update, pressing the replay button quickly …multiple times causes it to jump back to the last chapter  mark instead of the usual 6 seconds per press.   It’s the button directly below the mute button. 

this is the worst!  It used to go back 6 seconds. A wonderful feature. Two presses would go back 12 seconds.  3 presses …. 18 seconds.  
Amazing. 

This happens with both recorded content and live TV. It seems to be the only button with this issue.

I’ve reached out to DirecTV multiple times. They replaced both the Genie Mini and the tower-shaped device, but the problem persists. Unfortunately, I also lost all my recordings and settings in the process. I’m using an RC73 remote and have tried three different remotes, but the issue remains the same.

It’s a software bug and resetting my machine will not fix it. Replacing my remote will not fix it.  The software update has remapped this button to work differently.

It's a software bug. You can't fix it. Hopefully, the next update will have the fix.

I also have this problem and I AM VERY UNHAPPY about it.  We have had DirecTV for a decade and my hand just goes to that button and starts mashing it then I am nowhere near where I was.  DIRECTV!  PLEASE LISTEN!  I AM THINKING OF GETTING CABLE OVER THIS>>>  THIS IS NOT A SMALL THING!

Please let me know when it is fixed and treat it like  a high priority!!!  In the meantime if there is a workaround please let me know!
