HR24 Not Connecting to Internet
Recently my HR21 went down after about 15 years of service. Got an HR24-200 from Directv.
I have Whole Home with a Genie HR44-500 in the den with two minis in other rooms. Also in the den was the HR21, which was used for extra storage.
I have been unable to connect back to the internet. I swapped out DVR’s cable for cable. There’s an ethernet cable, a coax cable and a HDMI cable going to what I think is a DECA with a coax connected to the other end of DECA. When I try and connect to the internet the screen says no ethernet and no internet.
The Genie is connected to the internet. There is also a wireless video bridge in the den.
I had hoped that swapping would be simple since the HR21 had internet access, but after several hours reading it seems there are differences between the two DVRs.
Any thoughts or ideas to get the HR24-200 connected to internet/whole home greatly appreciated.

You don't need to connect anything to the HR24 as it will get the internet from the HR44. Remove the DECA and just connect the coax from the SWM splitter to the SWM1 port on the HR24 and remove the Ethernet cable from the HR24.

That worked perfect. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Getting the HR24 took some work. Directv did not want to replace dead HR21. First they sent me a mini genie?, then a HR24 with bad hard drive, then finally a refurbished HR24. Good thing I had the protection plan or I don't think I would have been successful.

You where lucky as DTV doesn't have many if any HR24s left as they haven't been made in years. Wouldn't matter if you have the protection plan or not as it only covers the shipping cost of a replacement receiver.
