How do I connect replacement mini to Genie 2 HS17-500 system. Instructions sent were for HD DVR system.
I just received a replacement Genie mini to replace one that doesn't appear to be functioning properly. The instruction provided with the mini say to go to the Genie HDDVR to begin setup. However, we have a Genie 2 HS17-500 system. How do I connect the replacement mini to the Genie 2 system?

uhh... the Genie 2 manual does not tell you how to set up clients.
turn on the mini and what does it say? Do it somewhat close to the Genie 2 tower.

While the manual doesn't say it, it does show the Add client button on the top panel with a green LED so one can assume you need to press it. One would believe that a wired mini needs to be connected to the coax and turned on or the wireless mini is turned on before pressing it.
