Gemini

I got a Gemini yesterday and today I was trying to install it as a replacement for a DIRECTV 61-100. But on two tvs it didn’t work as the receiver was coming up with the 000 error video connection error as it didn’t connect with the hr 54 500 genie as the main receiver in the house. I have been pretty satisfied with DIRECTV but this has been the most frustrated I’ve been as I wonder even if I should have gotten the Gemini. I don’t want to upgrade to the hs 17 and get stuck in a long term contract. I have a technician coming out on Tuesday but I’m not sure what they could do. Did I get misled with the Gemini or did I screw up in not looking into things more in depth.

You need a WVB to connect wireless to the HR54 or a DECA BB to use coax.  Some say the Gemini works/doesn't work with the HR54.

Please send me out the gemini unit with the Ethernet port, unless the air version is a significant update. I'm not sure if I need a video bridge or not, for my receiver hr44-500.

Nobody here can do that for you @cash360

You need to call DirecTV. Number below.

@cash360

I might also add that the newer “Gemini Air” device is not currently compatible with directv satellite. Right now, only the Gemini model C71KW-400 is the one shipping with satellite.

You will need a WVB if you plan to use the approved DTV wireless network.  DTV will not service unapproved systems.
