Gemini remote control of Niles ZR-4630

I recently replaced a Genie mini with a Gemini unit. I went through the process to program the Gemini remote. I added my TV (Samsung) and Sound System (Niles ZR-4630). The Gemini remote can turn the Niles sound system on and off and control the volume. However, the Niles ZR-4630 is a zone receiver with six zones throughout the house and four selectable sources for each zone. When the Gemini remote sends the IR command to turn on the Niles zone receiver it turns on source 1 in all six zones. Source 1 is the Niles built-in AM/FM radio and it is now playing in all zones in the house.  This is unsatisfactory and would not be useful for anyone that uses the Niles zone receiver. I want the capability to adjust the volume on the Niles system with my Gemini remote but do not want this dysfunctional turn on capability. Does anybody know how to modify the IR commands that the Gemini sends for sound equipment or any other solutions to resolve this problem? Hint for DirecTV: Change IR command to turn on source 2 only in the zone that receives the IR signal.

The Gemini remote is a Bluetooth & IR remote -it will turn the unit off an on using CEC control --you will need to you another remote to select the Niles source. Disable the cec control in the Gemini --that will stop the turn on function.

The Niles ZR-4630 is an audio zone receiver. It has no HDMI connection therefore no CEC capability. It is audio only. The Gemini Remote is sending IR commands that turn on source 1 on the ZR-4630 when I press the ‘ON’ button on the Gemini remote.
