gemeni small device stuck on screensaver, buttons do not dismiss, TV plays in background

Whenever the screensaver comes up and it says "press any button to dismiss this screen", NOTHING WORKS and you can press all the buttons you want, change channels, and turn the device on and off, but the screensaver is still on top and the show just is playing audio in the background.

I have to reset the device every single time, and I've seen this issue on here before and have found no working solutions. This is very annoying, and its preventing us from watching the stuff we pay a lot of money for.

I'm not sure what to do other than file an FCC complaint soon, since no one will get in contact from me, and when I call support they just say "sorry try resetting it" which is not a solution.

No idea how to message you on here, also, not sure why on a forum we need to direct message, when we can answer and discuss everything here in case someone else has the same issue in the future

You can find the Direct Message (DM) icon (text/speech bubble) in the upper right corner of the page between the notification icon (bell) and directv.com. The reason why we need to move it to DM is to authenticate your account and gather more information related to your issue. Jonathan, DIRECTV Community Specialist

It might be the screensaver on your TV, not the DTV itself.
