Frustration with partial recordings and unable to watch DVR recordings from my library on iPhone

Hello -  I have a combination of Genie (model HR54-500 plus a 4k Genie Mini C61K-700) and a HR24-200, and HR24-500 and am a satellite customer. 

First, I am only getting a partial recording 2 weeks in a row despite everything scheduled correctly to record the series.  Only getting about 10-12 minutes then it stops.  Equipment is Model HR24-200.  I have done multiple resets with the red button and using the on screen menu to reset.  No change this week as I only got 12 min of a 2 hour program.  is this a hard drive issue?

Second, I have had a lot of issues using the Directv app on my iPhone. 

  • I wanted to record a game last weekend from the phone using the Dtv app, but the error message said the receiver had to be turned on.  I wasn't at home?  I tried the Genie's and the other 2 boxes and nothing worked. 
  • I try to access the DVR recordings in my library where we have multiple recordings yet only one shows up on.  However, this one has an error message "the program's only available to view from your in-home DVR" and won't play on the phone.  No other recordings are visible.  The original is on the Genie
  • I move to a new DVR, to find recordings from your home DVR here and the screen is blank.  No recordings.  "pull down to refresh" does nothing.  All DVR's are on the same home network with no changes to the router or anything recently.

Yes, it could by a hard drive problem on the HR24s or a signal problem.  The HR54 and the HR24S are never off they go into standby mode as the hard drives are running 24/7 to buffer the channels and receive guide data and any software updates.  Not all sat channels can be streamed to mobile devices.

Eligible receivers for recordings on the DIRECTV App on phones are HR44, HR54, and Genie 2 (HR17). You can access selected recorded content while out of the home.
