Free Antenna connector

Since we were unable to get the free antenna connector to work for our local ABC station, we would like to get rid of all the local stations that was added to the channel guide during the setup process on the free antenna connector.  How do we remove all of the newly downloaded local channels?

To uninstall your LCC:

  1. Press Menu and select Settings then Sat & Antenna.
  2. In the Satellite Dish & Antenna Setup menu, choose Over-the-Air Antenna Setup and then Reset Settings.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. When the reset completes, unplug the LCC. You’ll no longer see Over-the-Air channels or the Sat & Antenna option.

If you don't want to keep that LCC for any additional locals or local sub-channels DirecTV cannot provide you, then you can see about passing it on. The LCC is rather desired for those reasons.

Some people do use a better antenna with the LCC than the one that comes with it. Something to keep in mind if you ever want to give a 2nd chance.

It sounds like I have to plug the antenna back into the TV box before I can do the above?? We have disconnected the wires and put everything back in the box.

No, you shouldn't have to plug the LCC back into the receiver.

We do not have a Sat & Antenna setting.  Only a Satellite.  Antenna is not listed.
