Error Video Bridge Survey Mode Inactive when adding Genie Minis
A little background...about a month ago my living room tv, which is 6 months old received an error message on the Genie Mini "Your TV does not support this program's content protection. Replacing the TV's HDMI cable with component cables will allow you to view the program." The Mini receiver was manufactured in 2013 and the TV was manufactured in 2023. I checked the TV for software updates, I purchased a new HDMI cable, I swapped the HDMI ports (both are working fine the AppleTV box works on both ports with no problems), the only thing not working on other port is the Genie Mini.
Calling tech support was useless. They said my TV was TOO OLD to work with the 2013 receiver Mini box. Hmmm, I requested a new box be sent out as I have the equipment replacement plan. In the meantime I swapped out the Mini receiver from my bedroom (it's a 2017 manufacture date) and it has been working fine with the 6 month old TV in the living room. The 2013 Mini is working fine with the older TV in the bedroom.
I received 2 newer Mini's (I had requested the bedroom one a while back, long story) and tried to add them to the whole house. I got the "Error Video Bridge Survey Mode Inactive" and didn't have time or patience to troubleshoot so since the mini's were working I left it alone.
A few days ago the 2017 Mini in the living room is now showing the "Your TV does not support this program's content protection. Replacing the TV's HDMI cable with component cables will allow you to view the program." So I have tried, again, to pair the Mini's. I have paired other Mini's over the years and had no problems so I'm familiar with the process.
When I try to add these two Mini's, I get this error:
"Error Video Bridge Survey Mode Inactive"
1. Make sure your WVB and Genie receiver (server) are installed, powered on and activated.
2. Go to menu on your server and start the Add Clients process via the Whole-Home settings
I have done this, but the Mini's are never recognized and I never receive the code to pair them. The server/receiver just times out after about 10 minutes. I have reset the Video Bridge by both pressing the red reset button and unplugging. I have reset the server by pressing the reset button. I have done this multiple times.
I do not want to call tech support, as they are useless. I don't want to be told my 6 month old TV is too old again.
Thanks in advance for any help that will keep my blood pressure down and keep my from calling tech support!

using your remote -Menu - setting -display -Uncheck any boxes and start over -this time if it's a 4k tv -only check the highest option and see if that changes anything.
