Error 775

I have an HR54-700 setup in my home with a roof mounted satellite. All works well.
I remove the HR54-700 and the SWM and take it outside and connect it to a different TV using a different satellite mounted on a tripod pointing the same direction as the rooftop satellite. It's an 18" satellite with new coax. Why do I keep getting the 775 message if I am using the same HR54-700 and SWM from inside?

to the back of the TV outside I have the HDMI, SWM , and coax installed to the HR54-700.
Do I have a bad LNB on my tripod mounted satellite?

Yes, that is the old 18 inch dish with the circular LNB for only receiving signals from one orbital slot, in this case this dish only receives satellite 101 which only has content in MPEG-2/SD which is being phased out as we speak.

You'll need to purchase a SWM SL3 LNB along with Slimline DIRECTV HD SWM dish in order for it to work with the HR54 receiver. This can be bought through third parties such as Solid Signal, Amazon, or eBay.

Along with buying the dish, you'd need to replace the current tripod/pole as new DIRECTV HD dishes use a size pole of 2 inches, while older 18 inch dishes only use a 1.66 inch pole.

DIRECTV HR54 Receivers are not compatible with circular LNBs, only SWM LNBs.

The HR54 has the power inserter built in.
