DVR programs

We have our equipment in our RV.  When we set up at our current location, our Genie wasn't communicating with the tower.  Customer Service could not help us.  My husband went online and found a solution that got it working.  But some of our recorded programs were gone, and there were other programs on our DVR that we didn't record.  Has anyone ever seen this?  How do we fix it?

Hi, @nemismom. We apologize for the recording issue you're experiencing on your RV. Please try resetting your receiver. Furthermore, please provide us with the model number of your device.

We tried resetting the tower.  When it came back up, it didn't recognize the Genie we had been using and wanted us to activate it.  We aren't sure what to do from there.  

The tower model #is HS17-100

The Genie model # is C41W-100
