Dish Installation Issue

My mother is a customer of Direct TV/AT&T.   She has had that service for approx 5+ years.  The original installation was mounted thru shingled roof top.  Some 2-3 years ago, a service tech uninstalled that roof mounted dish and re-mounted it to a higher position on her roof.  This done w/out knowledge of what the technician was doing and mounted in an in correct location and in an area that was against local covenants.  After she complained a new technician came out and re-installed it....again.

Now the original installation (bracket remained) has been leaking for some time and has done enough damage to the roof and wall it will need serious repair.

We had technicians come out to view and comment and only commented the original bracket was the source of the leak and "good luck".

Any suggestions on how to proceed in requesting repair and rework of the damage by Direct TV?

Once installed everything is at cost of homeowner as you own everything but the boxes. There is a 90 day worry free policy for the install to take care of issues, but years later it would be outside any timeframe for a damage claim.

Having a DirecTV tech out wouldn't be of help as they don't do roof repairs. They are to work on the equipment for your TV service only. So you must contact your own preferred roof repair.

As a note, AT&T finally sold off their remaining share of DirecTV (transaction to complete this year). As such they have moved over to being their own entity once again.

DTV's policy is not to remove installed dishes to prevent this very thing.
