Dirtectv won't connect to fiber wifi

My Directv box won't connect to the wifi.  I know the wifi is good, because everything else in my house can connect to it.  I've tried the 2.4 vs 5.0 change with no change. Restarted everything as well.

When I run the internet reconnect, it sees my wifi, but after I enter the password, it spins & then posts a message that it cannot find my wifi.  Yes - I've tried the wps method, with the same result.

DTV came and replaced my box with a new one, but that didn't cure the issue. The new box is the Gen 3 Model HR54-500

All I can figure is that fiber wifi is somehow incompatible?  I have Novos Fiber, and the router is the Nokia XS-2426x-a.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one with this issue.

Is your HR54 close enough to your home gateway/router that you can connect using an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi?

DTV doesn't care what your internet is, this maybe your router's antivirus or firewall is preventing connection.   If possible can you connect the HR54 via Ethernet cable to see if that works?

Unfortunately, it's far enough away that I cannot connect an ethernet cable to it - would if I could.

Interestingly, I CAN connect to my iphone hotspot to the DTV box wifi.

You could add a DECA BB but you would need to run coax or an Ethernet cable to the SWM splitter from the router or any net switches.

Unfortunately, the only coax I have comes into the DTV box.  No ethernet cabling in the house.  Wifi is my only avenue.

The fact the HR54 connects to your hot spot seems to indicate it is a router/modem problem.  If you don't need On Demand or start from the beginning or paying for PPV with the remote then you don't need internet.
