Directv remote won't pair with my samsung TV

Please follow these instructions:

Use the following steps to program the remote.

1. Test the batteries by pressing and holding the number 1 key.
   1. If the green light is on, continue with programming steps.
      1. If the green light is flashing slowly replace batteries- this indicates low battery power.
   2. If the green light is off- Remove the batteries and reinsert them:
      1. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly
      2. Test the batteries again.
      3. If the green light is still off, Replace Remote Control
2. The Genie Remote must be in RF mode to program to the TV. If remote is not in RF mode, reselect. Enable RF in the Tool for instructions.
   1. Press Menu.
   2. Select "Settings."
   3. Scroll down and select "Remote Control."
   4. Select "Pair/Program Remote."
   5. Select "Program TV."
      1. Enter your television brand and model.
      2. If the screen shows "Code Transmission Failed," have customer select Try Again.
   6. An OSD displays prompting the customer to confirm the code works by pressing the VOL+ button.
      1. If code does not work, customer should select Try Next Code.

Try these steps and let us know if the remote pairs back up.

My DirecTV remote (RC65) won't pair with my Samsung TU8000 tv.  Tried all the codes provided on screen but none worked.  HELP!!!

yes, but i had to get an RC66RX remote.  

Yes, I have a new RC66RX remote but still can't find a code that works. Do you know which code worked for you? Thx.

I have a Samsung UN40 EH and just got a Genie with a RC68RX. None of the codes work. I know the TV is older and they no longer ask for the model number of your tv when you go thru the pairing process, so what's the solution? 13382 didnt work.

Didn't work.  I give up.

I am so frustrated…

I have an RC73 remote control and I cannot program it with my Samsung TV (model # UN43NU6900)

I have followed all the steps, I’ve talked to a Direct TV customer service representative twice. The first one told me I needed a new remote control, so they mailed me a new one…same as the old one… and still doesn’t work. Yesterday, 5/29/22 I called again and spoke to a representative on the phone and he walked me through the steps, (again), and at the end  he told me: “Sorry but our remotes don’t control all tv brands or models”. So I give up… I may switch to Comcast. 

This is really ridiculous…

Yes, of course “no TV provider can guarantee their remotes work with every TV set out there“

I only mentioned switching to Comcast, because I have the same Samsung TV model I my second home, but with Comcast and I don’t have a problem with their remote control.

I have gone through the Samsung list “one by one”…and nothing happens.

but I appreciate you providing the12051 code and I will certainly give it a try.
