Hey there, @nsklaver

Have you confirmed whether your remote is in RF mode or not, as it states in the previous link?

Here is the most detailed instructions for your setup:

Enable RF

  1. On the remote, press and hold the MUTE and ENTER simultaneously while pointing the remote at the HR44/C41/C41W.
    1. The green light will flash while the remote communicates with the receiver.
  2. The following OSD will appear on screen: "Applying IR/RF set up. Please wait..."
  3. When pairing is successful, the following OSD appears: "Your remote is now set up for RF"
  4. If programming fails or the messages do not appear, retry starting with Step 1, making sure you point the remote at the receiver.

Program to TV/DVD/Other

  • Use the following steps to program the remote.
    1. Test the batteries by pressing and holding the number 1 key.
      1. If the green light is on, continue with programming steps.
        1. If the green light is flashing slowly replace batteries- this indicates low battery power.
      2. If the green light is off- Remove the batteries and reinsert them:
        1. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly
        2. Test the batteries again.
        3. If the green light is still off, your remote needs to be replaced.
    2. The Genie Remote must be in RF mode to program to the TV. If remote is not in RF mode, reselect.
      1. Press Menu.
      2. Select "Settings."
      3. Scroll down and select "Remote Control."
      4. Select "Pair/Program Remote."
      5. Select "Program TV."
        1. Enter your television brand and model.
        2. If the screen shows "Code Transmission Failed," select Try Again.
      6. An OSD displays prompting the customer to confirm the code works by pressing the VOL+ button.
        1. If code does not work, select Try Next Code.

We are here to help with your remote, @nsklaver,

Have you tried to have your remote automatically program itself?

The code that I found for the Supersonic SC-1511 is 13593. Is this the same code that you are using?

Let us know if this helps.

Hey there, @nsklaver!

To further look into this, can you provide us with your DirecTV Genie model, as well as the remote control model?

With this, we can look into the specific steps for your setup, and how to get things working.

Let us know, we look forward to hearing back from you!

Genie remote appears to be RC73--there is no model number that I can locate for the model number of the remote that came with the TV but it is a brand-new TV

@nsklaver

RC-73 is the model number for the remote, but we also need the model number for your Genie receiver.

Hey @nsklaver,

Thanks for providing the information. We understand that you are trying to program your remote to your TV. There are a few more codes you can try. Here is a list of all the possible codes we could find: 11753, 12104, 12784, 13154, 13204, 13593, 13595, 13877, 13894. One of these codes should work to program your remote.

Let us know if this helps.

Hey @nsklaver,

Follow this guide on programming the remote to your HDTV.  Skip down to the "Program remote manually for your HDTV or audio device" section.

I have tried to program the codes manually but it does not give me an option.  I choose the name of the TV-Supersonic- and then the model number SC1511.  It does not allow me to enter a numerical code.
